At Gites de Laprade we are focused on providing you with your ideal holiday in this outstanding area of France, whether it is total relaxation you are looking for or a more energetic time, then we can certainly help you get what you want. The Limousin is famous for it's forests and lakes and we have both here at Gites de Laprade, our location in the Haute Vienne region, is quite unique, the river Couze which surrounds our property, runs quietly by both our gites and feeds our 2 acre lake (unfortunately this means the location is unsuitable for children), this is well stocked with carp up to 35lb+ and colourful Koi carp, maybe you could try your hand at a bit of fishing, we are also happy to welcome your dog. This beautiful area abounds with wildlife, deer, wild boar and buzzards are easily spotted and the mix of forests and lakes make for perfect walking, cycling and bird-watching. If you are a budding artist then this is also the perfect area, it was certainly good enough for Fred Yates, he lived in our local village of Rancon until his death in 2009.
